I have always been interested in natural health and foods, and have done a lot of research and reading on the topic over the past 15 years or so.
When I was younger I ate very badly and was exposed to large amount of antibiotics for the treatment of acne and recurring strep throat infections. I was later diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and also experienced other recurring infections, anxiety and depression, candida overgrowth, SIBO, nutrient deficiencies, sensitivity to chemicals and an allergy to mold. Since then I have spent my whole life learning about how to support all these symptoms as naturally as possible through food and supplements and I’ve achieved great lasting results.
I’ve also struggled with my weight throughout my life and have really found results in not only looking at daily calories, but also at the quality and nutrient density of foods. I’ve been able to achieve a healthy BMI and keep 35 pounds off for the last 7 years or so.
Struggling with my own ongoing physical and mental health problems was what brought me to living a more holistic lifestyle, and is what sparked my passion for helping others heal through diet and lifestyle modifications.
I hold a diploma in Holistic Nutrition and Health Coaching from Nutraphoria and am a fully insured and registered Health and Nutrition Counselor.
I am also certified to work with Highly Sensitive People (HSP) so I can help others like me who are more sensitive to the world around us.
I hope I can inspire and help others out there who have had the same struggles as I have or just want to clean up their diet, lose weight and get healthier while focusing on self care, love and compassion.
